These were some of the first ideas I had, with a couple more added on to the end. I like the idea of implementing part of or the whole dragon into it.
The earlier symbols will still be used if I can find a place for them, most noteably symbols of the clans within Tomara.

For the logo, I sketched up three more ideas around "the dragon and the stone" concept. In the end I settled for the clawed hand holding it for a few reasons other than being my favourite.
- It works best to show off the stone
- It leaves mystery to the dragon holding it

I chose the stone to be an opal in the end because opals come in varying patterns and colours, giving it a magical property.
I had sketched up these ideas to further put detail into the logo. Despite liking the idea of an eye within the opal and fire somewhere around it, I wondered how I would make that work.
Looking up more opals I found one called "Dragons breath fire opal" - very fitting both by name and by appearance for my project.
I grabbed the two that looked best to me and used the colours to blotch out a rough idea of how it would look.
Finalising the linework and the colour, I now have the logo for Tomara. I will need to figure out a font sutiable to show it is Tomara.
The colour of the clawed hand is not final, and will be decided at a later date. As of now, it is a placeholder to show how it would work.
